These ink cartridges are filled with Carbonprint Museum pigment inks, developed for converting a standard photo or large-format printer into a fine art black-and-white printer.

Product Information

Carbonprint Museum is an ink based on 100% carbon pigments, with no added color pigments. This achieves extremely high longevity of the prints, provided that suitably long-term stable papers are used, of course.
Carbonprint Museum is therefore the perfect solution for photographers who prefer matte papers and prints in a naturally warm black tone. Since carbon itself is a warm-toned material, the tone of the resulting prints ranges from neutral-warm to almost sepia, depending on the paper type used. If you use, for example, bright white papers, the prints will be slightly warm-toned, depending on the whiteness of the paper. If a warm-toned paper is used, the prints will be correspondingly warmer.
Carbonprint Museum is compatible with all purely matte photo and fine art papers without gloss coatings.

How Do You Print?

There are two ways to work with Carbonprint Museum.
The individual channels are matched to the tonal values of the original inks. This makes it possible to output photos simply via the standard printer driver settings, but instead of a color photo, a black-and-white photo rich in tonal values is printed.
Or you can use the standard color management of your computer/software system and create an ICC printer profile for your printer, ink and paper combination. This special ICC profile further optimizes the tonal values in the print.

Important Notes!

Carbonprint ink cartridges can be used in a printer only as a complete set; partially equipping a printer with other inks is not advisable.

This product is not compatible with printer models for the American or Asian market!
